France is romantic, grand and classic. Cities such as Avignon and Rouen still breathe the medieval atmosphere from their glory days, with Gothic cathedrals and beautiful castles as a lively reminder of the past.

Beach and sea lovers can take their pick from the French Rivièra or Britanny, depending on your taste.
