"La Gare de Barse" is a special holiday house for 6 to 8 people in a former train station, located in the beautiful river valley Hoyoux, in the village Marchin between Modave and Huy. The building dates from 1865 and is still very authentic, including counters and the original wrought iron marquise. "La Gare de Barse" With much respect renovated into a pleasant cottage with modern comfort and luxury within the original framework of this unique property.

The property features a spacious designer kitchen with all the trimmings. In the living room you will find a cozy lounge and seating area. In the bedrooms there are luxurious boxsprings and a private bathroom. The garden faces south and borders a magnificent forest.

For children there is a games room complete with trampoline and a children's room with bunk beds and a single room.

Marchin is located in "Le pays du Condroz", a beautiful area on the edge of the Ardennes, which is known for its abundance of ancient castles, churches, farms, and many small streets through the hills, forests and picturesque villages. The region is often described as "le petit Loire".

In the vicinity it is certainly worth the effort to visit Huy, a bustling city full of history, with a beautiful historic center, many shops and the impressive fortress watching over the Meuse. Typically, the numerous urban villas around the "Wall of Huy" in cycling fanatics course known as the final climb of the cycling class ornamental "The Walloon Arrow".

The beautiful castle of Modave, located only 5 km away, is also an absolute must. The beautiful renaissance castle is very well preserved and is built on a rock, jutting 60 meters above Hoyoux, and beautiful as nature dominates classified valley.

At about 20 km Durbuy, is perhaps the ultimate tourist attraction par excellence in the Ardennes, with its beautiful city center, many sights and plenty of opportunities for hiking, cycling, kayak sailings.

The building dates from 1865 and is still largely authentic, including counters and the original wrought iron marquise above the platform. It has served as a station until 1965 and the old railway bed was redeveloped in 2009 as part of the RAVEL, a network of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails all across Wallonia.
The route which La Gare de Barse is located, is called La Traver Sine and runs right through the valley of the Hoyoux, past numerous waterfalls, old quarries and some witnesses of the railway past. Extra exciting is the old train tunnel where awaken at dusk the bats and flying around your head, ideal for a night walk.
